3:45 PM - 4:45 PM    Kids Zumba/Yoga - Kids Zumba/Yoga, Session I
Each 45 minute class begins with Zumba. Zumba combines Latin inspired upbeat music with simple dance moves to get the children’s hearts pumping. They’ll have so much fun, they won’t even realize they’re getting a terrific cardiovascular workout! Then students unwind with  Yoga, including techniques for breathing, kid-friendly balancing poses, and Shavasana (relaxation time). Children will exercise their bodies and minds in a positive, non-competitive environment...and they will love it!You do not need to enroll in future sessions in advance. We display all sessions for planning purposes. Participants can pay by check, cash, credit card or online. 2019-2020 we cannot accept day-of payment. Please contact the Rec Office BEFORE the start of the session so we can submit accurate rosters to the Houghton Office for dismissal.

This soccer development program is designed to prepare players for competitive leagues such as middle school, high school, club and Mass Youth Soccer TSC & PSP. Sterling Youth Soccer coaches Jeremy and Nicole Daly will lead the program.

Future Chefs! Learn Kitchen techniques, cooking concepts and make amazing recipes! Each session will feature a different theme. All food & materials provided. Students will eat what they make after class...and maybe even save some to share with their families! All Sessions are thematic around the produce of the season/time of year and will focus on different techniques. Young Adults Helping Out Others is a volunteer organization that serves the senior citizens in Sterling through raking and minor yard work in the fall and spring. This is an excellent opportunity for students to give back to their town, learn the value of volunteerism and experience being a part of something bigger than themselves! Players will have a fun time learning basic basketball skills through lead-up games, pint-sized drills and other fun basketball-oriented activities.  Sterling Rec Staff in providing a fun, safe, learning environment for the young players. 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM    Kids Zumba/Yoga - Kids Zumba/Yoga, Session II
Each 45 minute class begins with Zumba. Zumba combines Latin inspired upbeat music with simple dance moves to get the children’s hearts pumping. They’ll have so much fun, they won’t even realize they’re getting a terrific cardiovascular workout! Then students unwind with  Yoga, including techniques for breathing, kid-friendly balancing poses, and Shavasana (relaxation time). Children will exercise their bodies and minds in a positive, non-competitive environment...and they will love it!You do not need to enroll in future sessions in advance. We display all sessions for planning purposes. Participants can pay by check, cash, credit card or online. 2019-2020 we cannot accept day-of payment. Please contact the Rec Office BEFORE the start of the session so we can submit accurate rosters to the Houghton Office for dismissal.

This soccer development program is designed to prepare players for competitive leagues such as middle school, high school, club and Mass Youth Soccer TSC & PSP. Sterling Youth Soccer coaches Jeremy and Nicole Daly will lead the program.

9TH & 10TH HIGH SCHOOL PICK-UP: Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm Semi-organized play by program facilitator, with several professionally refereed games throughout season. All experience levels welcome. Equipment provided.11TH & 12TH HIGH SCHOOL PICK-UP: Mondays 7:15-8:30pm Players organize and run pick-up games. Some professionally refereed games throughout season. Program supervisor on-site -- all equipment provided.Both leagues will have the opportunity to play in an organized & refereed tournament at the end of the season.

Future Chefs! Learn Kitchen techniques, cooking concepts and make amazing recipes! Each session will feature a different theme. All food & materials provided. Students will eat what they make after class...and maybe even save some to share with their families! All Sessions are thematic around the produce of the season/time of year and will focus on different techniques.
